dear trevor,
i miss everything about our relationship. i miss the long-winded conversations over miller lite at the friday fish fry. i miss the pre-basketball game dinners at turner hall. i miss hearing about your day at work and what your boss thinks about the team this year and what your colleagues did over the weekend. i miss the "let's be low key" nights that turned into something not-so-low-key, like the time we went for a stroll along the lake and ended up downing tequila and shakin' our groove thangs at that military wedding reception.
i miss roaming about the east side at four in the morning and eating chinese takeout on the curb. i miss admiring the newly fallen snow and then frantically digging our cars out of snowbanks before the tow truck arrives. i miss sunday hangover breakfasts where all we can handle is black coffee and toast. i miss your insane knowledge of all things related to the minnesota golden gophers, even though you're from wisconsin. i miss being the one you call with good news and bad, the one you ask for advice and the one you hold.
i miss your confidence, your smile, and the way you look in a t-shirt and jeans. i miss you twirling my hair, kissing my forehead and tracing my skin with your fingertips. i miss you knowing how i'll react before i do.
most of all, though, i miss knowing you're there for me.
all my love,
the girl who is over being "on a break"

I know exactly what you mean... and it's hard to find. This is beautiful, darlin.
