i want to do what i want to do, and that's what i'm gonna do

life is busy busy. besides babysitting and doing errands and work around the house, i've been trying to squeeze in a few Twins games and some days on the lake. it seems like days that i'm free aren't the same days as my friends - so it's hard to coordinate our social lives. i'm trying to maximize my social life as much as i can before i move to the big W.

two of my close friends started their "real world" jobs, so that's two less people to be able to hang out with - since their social window is now from about 7-9 pm. when you throw in going out to dinner with the fam, i usually don't get home until 8ish, and by then they're in their pajamas, watching tv in bed.

in other news, my boss from two summers ago just got facebook. she told me once that 40% of the people who use facebook are over the age of 40. i don't know if that's true or not, but how creepy is THAT?? i wish it was still just college kids. the high school kids could stick around if it was still separated.

oh, and everyone should run to their local video store and rent Freaks & Geeks. i watched the entire series in one sitting, no joke. it might only be one season, but i luuurrrrved it. judd apatow is the producer and seth rogen is a main character, and about 75% of the cast had some sort of role in at least one of their recent comedy successes - superbad and knocked up. it's very low-key - almost like a camera crew followed around two random groups of kids for a year of high school, minus the confessionals and drama found in shows like laguna beach.

check it out. seriously.

I never got into Freaks & geeks but haven't seen all of it. I hear nothing but great stuff about it though. Yeah the 40+ crowd on Facebook freaks me out. Some guy I work with but don't work directly with "Friended me" and I said no because that was just too much.
