spring snowstorm

today is april 10th. it rained all day long and is now snowing. we are supposed to get 4-6 inches overnight and more tomorrow. if we don't get a snow day tomorrow, i might punch something. by this time of year, i'm supposed to be wearing flip flops and short sleeves every single day. sweatshirts and sweaters are supposed to be packed away alongside fleece jackets and hats and mittens. grrr.

in other news, there is now an "office happy hour" happening next week. i absolutely cannot wait. it should be a grand ol' time. now if i can just get this paper done for tuesday, my busy week will have lightened greatly.

the paper is for one of my (sometimes) favorite professors. i have sort of a love/hate view of him. most of the time, he's completely brilliant and is extremely open and friendly and willing to spend our entire two-hour class period explaining an obscure assignment (like this paper..). the rest of the time, he's pretty much a nut job. i haven't figured out why he has these two extremes. i've also noticed that there are certain students to whom he is rude more often than other students. i guess i'm one of the lucky ones, because he has never once said to me anything on a level below 'kind.' at the same time, i can't stand how he responds to some students' questions, and it really makes me wonder why i'm different.

i think he might be so smart that he doesn't know how to handle others not understanding or knowing what he knows. maybe he thinks i get it (??). anyway, he is definitely a professor i will miss when i leave here. him, and my HR prof from last semester. she is an absolute riot and probably the most helpful person i have ever met in my entire life.

::sigh:: i don't want to graduate.
