i've decided that financial advising is not the career for me. the interview i had today made that perfectly clear, which was good because i hadn't really thought a lot about the details of the job - i simply thought it sounded interesting. it's not, really. oh well.
i did make it to the final round for the company i phone-interviewed with the other day, so that is pretty sweet. i'm still holding out for next tuesday's interviews and for the company that called me about future opportunities.
i am NOT looking forward to dressing business-y every day. jackets and heels are not my forte, i guess. as soon as i got home this afternoon, i put my pajamas back on and watched tv with my sister.
on the other hand, my tan is going away. not in gross flakes that you can actually peel off, rather, it just looks like i have extremely dry skin. the dry parts are really set aglow by the brown skin underneath, so it's quite noticeable. ugh. i wish there was a (healthy) way to stay tan all year round. the mystic tan is just not for me...i don't want to be orange. simple as that. that also rules out self-tanners, although the lotions with subtle tanners in them are kinda neat. well, all except for the jergens natural glow kind. that stuff smells like ass.
i'm almost done with dawson's creek, season 2. i'm on the last disc, so it's perfect timing to go back to school tomorrow and get the next season. it'll be interesting to see what happens. i'm going back to campus a day early to have lunch with a friend from the university in the next town. we haven't seen each other in about a year and a half...so i called him the other day to meet up and there you have it. he picked the place, a little bar in the older part of the town - i asked tim at work the other day about it (he's from there) and he said they have amazing food. should be exciting. speaking of, i decided tim is kinda cute, even if he's waaaaaaaaayyyy too old for me (6 years older). every time i go back there to work when i'm home on breaks, we have a blast. quoting lines from movies like "blades of glory" and "office space" is the pastime of choice at the office. all eight of us went out to lunch the other day and steve and rick almost choked on their food, they were laughing so hard. good times!
i noticed this post has many random topics in it, probably because i didn't post much this week. for now, i think i can squeeze in one more DC episode before i go meet allie for dinner. check ya later!
