what keeps me going and not going

i'll start with the 'not so good' in order to end this post on a positive note.

- moving to pewaukee/milwaukee i just got the final itinerary for my final round QG interviews in pewaukee thursday and friday. there's 5 of us. i would love to work at QG if i a) didn't have to move or b) would have a starting salary worthy of moving a state away, esp. without relocation. it'd be different if i'd already been out of college for a few years. we'll see what happens...

- gas prices honestly...when it costs me upwards of $60 to fill up my tank, i get pissed. when i got my license, i could fill up on $17. okay, so it was 6 years ago and times have changed, but still. this is r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s.

- the cough that has stayed with me for over a month i got over my bronchitis/strep combination before i left for mexico. for some reason, i still have the cough that accompanied that stretch of time. it's not as bad, obviously, but it's gotten really annoying and just won't go away. and yes, i've tried drugs.

- attempting to move out of the yacht club before graduation we don't graduate until june 1st, and our lease is technically up may 31. the landlord has been semi-vague about this, and the girls living here next year are already asking when they can start bringing stuff over to store in the garage.

okay, so three isn't that bad. now on to the good stuff.

- our trivia team: Sexy Can I? jenna, maggie, anne, mike, and i won three free pitchers tonight. we were also tied for 2nd place after the 4th round, but the 5th round wasn't so good and we dropped down. overall, the spring semester tournament has been really great for us. lots of those pitchers and free $15 bar tabs have come our way.

- catching up on 'friends' i usually catch one or two reruns a week on random channels, but it's been nice to just slip maggie's dvds in and let them play in the background while i'm in my room. i've also caught myself doing the "just one more episode" thing before bed - and instead of falling asleep to the show, i end up staying up really late.

- laundry there's something to be said about clean sheets, which i have on my bed right now. seriously, it's one of the cheapest thrills in life. i also love doing laundry just for the smell of freshness. detergent and dryer sheets smell soooo good! i find myself doing small loads just to be in the laundry room, which smells amazing i might add. maybe i should do a laundry commercial...at least i wouldn't be faking the happiness.

- text messages especially the one that came during a very low point in my day. to make it even better, it was from Y. i don't even mind that it was just a text and not a phone call or conversation. i am hooked. somebody save me. this is totally different from anything i'm used to. i never, not once, felt anything like this when it came to mr. wrong, even before he was mr. wrong. :::sigh:::

- the weather so the last few days were a bust, BUT today was amazing. little cool, but overall sunny and definitely proving that spring is back. i'm ready to break out the flip flops and short sleeves again.


well, that was fun. trivia was great. time to watch more 'friends' and enjoy my lack of classes (thank you, MAYDAY!) tomorrow!
