spring break

i have two spring breaks this year. today is the start of my second week. last week i blew off classes to go to mexico with my family. it was a blissful seven days of sunshine, white sand beaches, and plenty of eye candy. here are some pics from the week:

the fam out to lunch downtown puerto vallarta. they had the strongest margaritas EVER. my entire family got drunk in about 20 minutes. my sister took the photo.

mom's insistence that we pose with every possible landmark. these are sand sculptures of the virgin guadalupe and the virgin mary. it was holy week.

last night was spent at the hometown bars with my high school girls. i love these girls, and i am so glad we still hang out and are close. it was too bad allie wasn't around - she decided to go to chicago for the weekend.

one of the bars, meister's, was celebrating its 60th anniversary and gave us french fries, burgers, and mystery shots. we also split two pitchers of beer...and yet our total bill was only $12. for six people, that's pretty darn good. after meister's we moved on to whitey's, which is downtown stillwater. after 1 drink each there, we went to brine's and saw approximately 6% of our 735-person high school graduating class. i ran into a guy i knew, and the first thing he said to me was "wow, i haven't seen you since we made out those three times junior year." classy, thanks. i remember this incident to only have happened once, and since my friends and i weren't big drinkers then, i think he might have me confused with someone else. oh well. all in all it was a great night.

here's a pic of five of us at brine's...maggie left about 10 minutes before this:
shelley, holly, nicole, me, piper

as for now, i'm going to get back to dawson's creek. i borrowed the first two seasons from a roommate for spring break. i never watched it when it was actually on, but now i am definitely addicted. and i would choose pacey over dawson. just a random note. nighty night!
